Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Thanks for your reply.

These ignition curves scans are from Polish FSO forum and they are for 1585 engine. I'm making Secu yourself and finaly I want to put it in my WAZ 1500 with 1608cc engine from Fiat 124 Sport. The maximum ignition advance should be around 36 deegres in this case.

Question to STC:
Can I use OEM Waz 2106 temperature sensor ? Do I need to change sensor temperature curve in manager ?

Thanks in advance

Yes. You can use it. You should set check "Use curve" ("Temperature" tab).

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hello.
A Lada and a project like yours was in my wish list.
What colour is your car?
I like the style like that.

Another DOHC swap.

A 2.0 from Argenta but without the injectioin system, old school.

The first one is a 2104 but I don't like a station wagon for tuning.
It's possible to find Lada with Fiat parts, Yugo with Fiat parts,Fiat with Yugo or Lada parts or a car with all mixed parts.

They were for the U.K. market.
You can find the same alloy wheels on Lada, I saw on bulgarian models.

I forgot FSO cars.

Engine swap isn't a new on FSo cars, not fiat DOHCs only, many options.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

I like the 125P Montecarlo.
You're right about the polish manual.
I found the forum you talked about, there are ignition maps for 2.0 DHOCs too.

Maybe they can be useful for who makes the swap with a 2.0 engine.
The maps are on the polish forum since 2012, on year later they were showed on a croatian forum.
I think somebody was going to fit a 2.0 from Argenta on a 125P but without the injection system.
The question was about the right ignition ecu for the swap.
The factory ignition ecu from injected engine or one from a carburatored engine?
Bye.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hello.
Thank you. I used to think that all 1.6 were the same.
You can find a DOHC form a Tempra,Croma,Thema...
I difficult to find one from a rear wheel drive car, your engine is rare.

I looked for an injected 1.6.

I was going to find a trigger wheel.

I don't think it's suitable.
You can find one on later DOHCs but they use wide belts.
Bye.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hello.
I didn't find a 124 Sport or a 125 workshop manual.
I don't know their distributors codes and ignition curves.

When no datas are avaiable I watch at that list.
That's what I found.

The maximun ignition advance looks right.
I found that ignition curve.

36° again but according that list is for 1.8 and the maximun advance is 31°.
There is something wrong somewhere.
I found the same igition curve.

This time the static advance is 5° and the maximum is 31°.
I don't know the 1.6 ignition curve, generally for DOHC engine the maximum advance is at 5500 rpm.
That's what I read where I found the last ignition curve.
Better a maximun advance later than 3500 to avoid detonation risk.
Bye.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Is 4800bps transfer ratio supported by manager and Atmega644 firmware ?
I'm asking, because i want to use Attiny45 USB-RS232 converter ( http://www.recursion.jp/prose/avrcdc/cd ... #schematic ) + optoisolation on two PC817.
Thanks

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

I would not recommend 4800, because it is too slow. 9600 is minimum recommended.
If I remember correct, 4800 is supported.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hello.
There are some manuals for 124 and 125 on web.
https://www.scribd.com/doc/118105630/Se ... Taller-Esp
http://www.fiat125sportclub.com.ar/manu ... index.html
http://www.fiat125sportclub.com.ar/manu ... index.html
There are other manuals on the 125 web page but the index link doesn't work so you must do an external research.
You can find 125 coupè,pick up, there is a diffrent engine too,I think it's a 125p.
I took the ignition curves.

I don't know why the first curve has got less advance, maybe because pollution restrictions or low octane fuel.
There was already the ignition curve so we don't need them.
I tried to find the parts from the B.O.M,it wasn't easy.
I found a 40 pin rectangular chip, then you have to buy 50 or 100 resistors or capacitors for each value, I don't know how to check if they were X7R or not, some parts werent' avaiable in the same shop...
I have a question about chip programming, can it be done after soldering on the pcb or not?
Thank you.
I discovered that there is a white enclosure.

Bye.
