The last checked firmware and manager for SECU-3 (at 31122018)

Currently the last checked firmware and manager are the release from 31-12-2018. Units ordered after 1 January 2019 are firmwared with this release.

The list of modifications in comparison with previous version is available here.

The manager could be downloaded as one exe file – secu3man.exe or as a zip-file – secu3man.7z

The full zip-file with all firmware versions – secu3app.7z (189 firmware files) or from site.

There is a lot of firmware versions for every occasion. You can read their description in file release.txt.

You should use the new version of SECU-3 Manager (from 31-12-2018) after the firmware upgrade.

You should reset EEPROM after firmware upgrade!!!

Your parameters and settings will be lost, that is why you need to remember/note them beforehand.

Which firmware should I chose (example is for ATmega1284)?

The main firmwares for SECU-3T, SECU-3 Lite and SECU-3 Micro units:

secu-3t_m1284_rev9_hallfirmware for the synchronization from a Hall sensor (HS) of distributor. Operating with this firmware you don’t need the 60-2 pulleys and etc. It is used in the simplest and cheapest type of configurations.

secu-3t_m1284_rev9_dwell standard firmware for the synchronization from a single CKP sensor or two CKP sensors (position + reference point sensors), the units are firmwared with it before sale. The distribution via distributor or “wasted spark”. For using with ignition modules/drivers which don’t have embedded control of the dwell time (e.g. BIP373, SECU-Igniters, and some ignition modules).

secu-3t_m1284_rev9_dwell_phign – synchronization from a single CKP sensor or two CKP sensors (position + reference point sensors), individual (COP) ignition coils, (the support of phase sensor). For using with ignition modules/drivers which don’t have embedded control of the dwell time (e.g. BIP373, SECU-Igniters, and some ignition modules).

Firmwares with fuel injection functionality have the same names and prefix “_inj”.

There are also firmwares which allow to use two channel igniter controlled via one single wire. For its support perform the firmware unit using the version analogous to the abovementioned , which contains _2chig.

The main firmwares for SECU-3i units

secu-3i_m1284_dwell_phign_inj_tpic – standard firmware for synchronization from either missing or non-missing tooth wheels, full sequential ignition, all types of fuel injection. Spark via distributor or coil-on-plug. The units are firmwared with it before sale.

secu-3i_m1284_dwell_inj_tpic – synchronization from either missing or non-missing tooth wheels, spark via distributor or wasted spark, all types of fuel injection.

secu-3i_m1284_hall_dwell_inj_tpic – firmware for the synchronization from a Hall sensor (HS) of distributor. Operating with this firmware you don’t need the 60-2 pulleys and etc. It is used in the simplest and cheapest type of configurations. Only throttle body or simultaneous injection and spark via distributor.

If you don’t need fuel injection functionality, then you should choose from any firmware not containing “_inj” in its name.

You can also use other versions of firmwares, but only if you know their purpose. You can read brief description of each firmware in file release.txt

Additionally:

Archive with firmware files, which were built without a COLINGFAN_PWM option – secu3app-no-fanpwm.7z
