DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hi, all.
I own VAZ 2106, and I want to make SECU -3 micro. So, before I start, I have lots of technical questions :) :

1. Where can I find latest firmware for SECU-3 micro ? (On the download site I see only SECU-3t files)
2. Where can I find FUSES for ATMEGA664 ?
3. Of course, can I programm the uC by the ISP connector on the pcb using USBasp programmer ? (must be sure in 100%)
4. Is there any replacement for the CP2102 (I'm lookig for chip in diferent case).
5. Can I replace the SP0503 diode pack, with single transil diodes ?

Regards,
Christopher

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

1. http://secu-3.org/software-19012017/?lang=en or you can test latest test releases viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1191&start=610#p37249 or viewtopic.php?f=64&t=1174
SECU-3T, SECU-3 Lite and SECU-3 Micro are software compatible

2. http://secu-3.org/setting-avr-fuse-bits/?lang=en
LFUSE=0xD7
HFUSE=0xD4
EFUSE=0xFC

3. Sure, You can use USBasp. It supports ATmega644

4. There are several replacements (but not compatible by pins and package): e.g. PL2303, FT232. CP2102 is quite spread and present in most of electronic components stores.

5. SP0503 is TVS diodes pack (not just regular diodes). They are like Zeners, but with small capacity and fast response. Specially designed to suppress fast voltage transients. SP0503 is used for ESD protection. You can replace it with TVS diodes with similar parameters.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

No, there is no PCB design for SECU-3 Micro available to the public for now.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Thanks for info.
So If i want use SECU-3 MICRO with CKP sensor and wasted spark type ignition, I must use firmware with _dwell suffix ? Do I need to change options in manager / firmware if I will use wasted spark instead one coil and distributor ?
The last question :) :
In my engine (FIAT 1.6 TC) firing order is 4-2-1-3 (ignition on #4 when TDC). Do I need to change anything or it not mean ?

Thanks in advance :)

Yes. For instance this one secu-3t_m644_rev9_dwell.a90

Do I need to change options in manager / firmware if I will use wasted spark instead one coil and distributor ?

You need to set/unset distributor check mark, which is located on the CKPS parameters tab. Set check for distributor spark, unset check for wasted spark configuration.

In my engine (FIAT 1.6 TC) firing order is 4-2-1-3 (ignition on #4 when TDC). Do I need to change anything or it not mean ?

You should understand how wasted spark ignition work. Thus, you will understand how to connect high voltage wires.
For wasted spark: first coil works on 4,1, second coil works on 2,3.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hello.
Thoose ignition maps are from Fiat 1.6 DOHC.

The first is from an engine with carb,the second from an injected one.
I don't know where your engine is from, maybe there is a distributor with mechanical advance.
Generally I heard of 1-3-4-2 firing order, by question and answering I understood that's the same thing.
I'mnot expert and I didn't understand what was told about the ecu.
Are you going to build the ecu by yourself?
Thank you.
Bye.

Re: DIY SECU-3 micro questions

Hello.
Thank you.
I'm sorry for a piece of mistake,I'm not sure that the second map is from an injected engine.Probably both use carbs.
Now I think to have understood.
He was going to use different parts from the bill of materials and the rest he asked reguards the programming of an empty chip.
Bye.
