Questions about ignition and map switching

Hi all,

I discovered this ECU 2 days ago and it's one of the more exciting things I've discovered in a while. I have a few questions though:

1. I see it's possible to use a VR CKP sensor with either a distributor or wasted spark. How do I set the ECU to use a distributor? My guess was that if only IGN_OUT1 is specified and the other ignition outputs are set to NONE then the ECU will default to using a distributor. Is this correct?

2. About the map switching using GAS_V, I see some sections where you have options for either petrol or gas and that's fine. However it's not clear to me how you know which of the EEPROM maps you're editing is for gas or petrol.

How do I set the ECU to use a distributor?

You need to set check "Merge signals to single output" on the 8:CKPS tab in the SECU-3 Manager.

About the map switching using GAS_V, I see some sections where you have options for either petrol or gas and that's fine. However it's not clear to me how you know which of the EEPROM maps you're editing is for gas or petrol.

Below the MAP sensor's parameters one should select a set of curves for petrol and for gas.
There are 5 sets in the list, the first four of them are contained in the firmware (in flash memory), the
last set is contained in EEPROM and it may be edited in the real-time mode. The switching between
the selected modes will be performed according to the voltage at the GAS_V gas valve input of the
ECU. If there is no voltage at this input, the set selected for petrol is used.
